Gang violence, drugs, murders and robbery are just some of that activities that Morvant Trinidad are known for, however there are a group of people that would like to highlight the positive things that happen there.
Daybreak Assembly has now created the event, 'Good Things Come Out Of Morvant'. Created for the sole puropse of showing the National community that there's more than what meets the eye in the deemed 'gloomy' area, they would award persons in the area for their invaluable contributions.
The have now made available the opportunity for persons to nominate whom they feel is most deserving of recognition. They must follow the follow the criteria below:
1. The Nominee must be 18 years and over
2. They must have lived in Morvant for at least 10 years
3. They must be in good legal standing
4. They must have made a significant contribution to Morvant or the national community in the areas of social services (eg Police, Nurses, Fire Officers…); professional services (eg Doctors, Lawyers…); business; sport; music, art and culture (excluding carnival); voluntary services; and any other area.
Nominees must have lived or live within the geographical boundaries listed below:
* From Morvant Junction to the Look-out and
* From Poinsettia Drive to Paradise Heights .
